FORGOT YOUR DETAILS?

Our Campaign

As tackling climate change becomes a world priority, we are committed to supporting businesses in our region in becoming world leaders in environment and sustainability. Due to the pandemic, new ways of working have grown to become a priority for most people who are now looking to join companies who share common interests. Our campaign will provide businesses with key updates and changes they can make within their workplace in order to become world leaders in the race to net zero.

The campaign will focus on the following three main areas: clean air, carbon literacy and net zero.

We will be providing a series of blogs, case studies and webinars to help support businesses in our area overcome the challenges of becoming carbon neutral and sustainable.

What have we done?

Our Clean Air Conscious Campaign was launched in November 2021 in order to raise awareness of the proposed clean air zone introduction in Fenton and the proposed bus gate on Basford Bank. The campaign included a webinar hosted by the chambers and delivered by Stoke-on-Trent city council to inform businesses in the local area of the North Staffordshire Local Air Quality Plan.

As well as the webinar, the Clean Air Conscious campaign included a series of blogs exploring new ways of working such as hybrid working as well as ways to maintain your vehicle and reduce the impacts of your carbon footprint.

Why is this important?

Businesses have a major part to play in order to create a healthier, greener, and happier Staffordshire. This campaign aims to support, advise, and raise awareness to businesses in our region of the changes they can make to enable Staffordshire to lead the way in the race to Net Zero.

The three areas of focus for this campaign align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) which the Chambers has pledged to focus on and support businesses in order to create their own plan of action towards the goals.

Today, climate action is one of the biggest concerns to society with its effects already impacting so many of us. Recent societal changes alongside environmental concern has led to the development of new ways of working in which businesses must adapt to in order to remain competitive in their sectors.
