NexGen: How to talk and present in a meeting or at an event
Thu 5th March @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm UTC+0Free
Speaking in a meeting or at a public event can be one of the most daunting and nerve-racking experiences. And yet if done properly and effectively it can engage, inspire and help to get your message across. In this workshop we will explore some of the tricks of the trade to help you prepare and deliver excellent talks and presentations, regardless of whether you are speaking to a small group of colleagues or a large audience of people you don’t know.
This event will look at a wide range of videos of well-known politicians, celebrities and comedians; some good, some bad! In all cases we will see how they have adapted their techniques to try and influence an audience and get your message across.
The workshop is being delivered by Dr Dave Bryon, who is a professional after dinner and business speaker, and also a stand-up comedian. He was the former Managing Director of the low-cost airline bmibaby, and now regularly appears on television and radio discussing aviation issues or stories that appear in the media.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and to support your apprenticeship.
This event is free to all apprentices from any business.
