The Importance of Training to help your business grow – and how to cover the costs

Training and upskilling staff can have a huge return on investment, impacting areas such as: increasing productivity; improving staff retention; business reputation, to list just a few. Maintaining the right level of training internally, when cash flow is at the utmost importance to control, can be a balancing act for many organisations. During this Webinar there will information on how to access a Grant of up to £5,000 via the Skills Hub to support training that is designed specifically for your business. Along with this, the Skills Support for the Workforce will be discussing the 100’s of fully funded courses that are available throughout the region.

About the speakers:
Suzanne Quinn is the Project Manager for the Skills Hub, delivered by the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce. For the last 20 years Suzanne has worked in the recruitment, employability and more recently the training sectors, always with the notion of helping and supporting people to progress. The Skills Hub has become a passion in trying to champion Employers to invest and develop their staff, making the workplace a more successful and desirable place to work. Sign-posting organisations to where the funding is available and offering the most financially viable options for training for them, along with trying to make the Skills Hub Grant accessible to all SMEs in Staffordshire.
Amy Dudley is the Partnership Coordinator for Serco, working to support SMEs through the Skills Support for the Workforce programme in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Greater Birmingham and Solihull, and recently supporting the Black Country. Amy works collaboratively with key partners and stakeholders including the Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Skills Hub and Staffordshire Growth Hub, to support businesses wanting to access fully funded training courses to help them grow and for employees to feel invested in. Amy is passionate about trying to support those wishing to boost their businesses and the local economy.
