The Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has received funding from the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to deliver a number of Your Future Careers Fairs across Staffordshire. The Your Future Careers Fairs is a government funded national project to deliver 250 events through Chambers of Commerce, attracting over 70,000 young people across England. The Your Future Careers Fairs are aimed at students aged between 14-24 years.
The Chamber will be delivering 2 large and a number of small Your Future Careers Fairs and we are looking for businesses who wish to exhibit at any number of these Your Future Careers Fairs. As an exhibitor you will not only gain exposure to hundreds of local people and a variety of schools, you will also have the chance to network with the various organisations attending.
The aim of the ‘Your Future’ Careers Fairs is to inspire and enthuse young people by providing ‘Have a Go’ demonstrations which are interactive and more engaging for the young people. We are therefore encouraging exhibitors to bring along ‘Have a Go’ activities and/or apprentices who can provide real life case studies. This will make your stand popular and attract more young people that if you did not offer an activity.
We expect at least 700 young people to attend the large Your Future Careers fairs and at least 250 young people to attend the small Your Future Careers fairs. This will be a fantastic opportunity for you not only to showcase your organisation, products and services but to also encourage young people to want to work for your business as well as gaining excellent links with the local schools.
The 2 large Your Future Careers Fairs will take place:
1) King’s Hall, Stoke-On-Trent – 11 February 2016
2) Drayton Manor, Tamworth – 22 February 2016
