I would like to put myself forward as Chair (or Deputy Chair) of the Chamber Hospitality Forum. I have worked in hospitality for over 30 years, including senior roles with Hilton and The Belfry, and for the past eight years have supported a wide range of businesses — from hotels and restaurants to community-owned pubs, sports clubs and cafés — giving me a broad understanding of both the pressures facing the sector and some of the initiatives that genuinely work. I dedicate around 20% of my time to voluntary support within the industry, providing practical guidance and sector connections, which enables me to bring balanced insight and share best practice across the forum. I am confident chairing structured, outcome-focused meetings and comfortable representing the sector publicly, with experience speaking at national events and engaging with regional and national media. Having lived and worked in Staffordshire for nearly 20 years, I would be fully committed to helping the forum be proactive, collaborative and influential in championing our local hospitality businesses.
