Ignite – Enterprise Support in Schools and Colleges

Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, funded by Staffordshire County Council, delivers our Ignite Programme to develop enterprise skills in students aged 16-18 years old across Staffordshire.

The Ignite Programme will look to support any student to consider starting a business as a potential career option for the future through a range of free support including:-

  • Ignite Platform – our online learning platform which provides short videos and activities to teach students the basics skills to start and run their own businesses. It can be completed during their own time and at their own pace and has already been used by over 600 students.
  • Ignite Enterprise Workshop – our bespoke online workshops, delivered over 5 sessions by an experienced business advisor, that will give students an in-depth insight in starting and running their own business covering topics such as personal confidence, finding your customers, finances and business planning, marketing and a recap and next steps.
The Chamber can provide schools with any lesson plans or marketing materials to promote the programme to students in their schools and we are happy to talk to any schools about further details.

The programme has been piloted in Colleges across Staffordshire, with nearly 7000 students signing up to get involved over the past 2 years!
