Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce scoop Enterprise Team of the Year award

04 December

Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce are thrilled to have been awarded ‘Enterprise Team of the Year’ at the National Enterprise Network awards.

The prestigious award recognises excellence in the delivery of enterprise support and Staffordshire Chambers were crowned winners for their enormously successful Ready for Business programme.

Judges praised the programme which helped 350 businesses in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford start up and create a further 150 jobs.

Representatives from the chambers' Enterprise Team attended the National Enterprise Network awards in London on Friday 27 November to receive the trophy.

Linda McQuade, Staffordshire Chambers’ Head of Enterprise, said: "Ready for Business was a fantastic opportunity for the chambers to demonstrate our skills in supporting and guiding new business start-ups. The team did an incredible job and are extremely proud of every single business that they helped get off the ground. We offer a vast amount of support to new businesses and I would encourage anyone considering setting up their own business to contact us to see how we can help them to bring their idea to fruition.”

Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce were also named runner-up last week (26 November) in the UK Social Enterprise awards in the ‘Education, Training & Jobs Social Enterprise of the Year’ category.

Chief Executive Sara Williams said: "It was a fantastic week for us. We are so proud to have our work with Staffordshire businesses recognised on these national stages. We have an enormously talented, knowledgeable and dedicated team who help businesses of all sizes and sectors to grow and succeed."
