To monitor economic trends we design and distribute a Quarterly Economic Survey. This widely read and respected survey reports on sales, employment levels, pressure on prices and investment intentions, and is a reliable indicator of confidence levels, both current and predicted. We also work in conjunction with Hays Recruitment, to map employee salary levels and benefits from sectors across the county.

Clean Air Zone

We regularly represent our members at the BCC’s Strategic Policy Group, Survey and Research Group, Reactive Poll Group, Brexit Working Group and CEO Roundtable. At the local level we meet regularly with local MPs and local authorities to raise the key issues affecting our members’ growth and success. We work closely with the Local Enterprise Partnership (SSLEP) to deliver their objectives to increase local GDP and employment.
