Kilncare Named Finalist for Small Business of the Year.

Kilncare, the UK’s leading manufacturer of high-end art kilns, has been announced as a finalist in the Small Business of the Year category at the 2025 Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Business Awards. Sponsored by Sempar, this category recognises excellence in businesses with fewer than 50 employees and celebrates standout achievements in areas including leadership, innovation, environmental performance, and long-term sustainability.

A proud, multi-generational family business, Kilncare has evolved from humble beginnings in a small garage to become the largest art kiln manufacturer in the UK. With a team of dedicated and long-standing employees, the company designs and manufactures kilns for the art world as well as specialist sectors such as dentistry and fine dining. Over three decades, Kilncare has built an unmatched reputation in the high-end glass kiln market, and more recently, has brought the same level of quality and innovation to its ceramics kilns.

The company’s growth has been marked by smart reinvestment, strong leadership, and a sustainable approach to manufacturing. Kilncare recently purchased its long-term premises, now operating at full capacity with future expansion on the horizon. Its kilns are designed with energy efficiency in mind, including the Eco-Fuser glass kiln, which can run a full cycle on just 4.5 units of electricity. The company’s work was integral to the Stourbridge Glass Museum winning a sustainability award, thanks to two bespoke Lehrs designed and built by Kilncare.

Innovating for the future, Kilncare has recently launched the UK’s largest plug-in kiln capable of reaching 1300°C, surpassing European competitors. It is also set to revolutionise the Australian market with a new high-capacity, energy-efficient 10-amp kiln.
