Broxap Named Finalist for Manufacturer of the Year.

Staffordshire-based manufacturing leader Broxap Ltd has been announced as a finalist in the prestigious Manufacturer of the Year category at the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Business Awards 2025, proudly sponsored by DJH.

The Manufacturer of the Year Award celebrates excellence in all aspects of manufacturing, from product design and development to operational performance and sustainability. As a finalist, Broxap has been recognised for its outstanding achievements and continued innovation across its diverse product range, which includes street furniture, shelters, canopies, cycle parking infrastructure, outdoor gyms, and playground equipment.

A family-owned business with nearly 80 years of heritage, Broxap employs over 250 people from its headquarters and manufacturing base in Staffordshire. Serving a wide portfolio of customers across the UK and internationally, the company’s products can be found in iconic locations such as Buckingham Palace, the London 2012 Olympic sites, Wimbledon, and major airports and rail stations, including Birmingham Airport and Euston Station.

In the last three years, Broxap has undertaken a transformational journey through its multi-million-pound Project Transform, which has seen the introduction of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, such as fibre laser cutting machines and a state-of-the-art automated powder coating system. These upgrades have drastically improved production efficiency while significantly reducing environmental impact.

Broxap is committed to sustainability, aiming to become carbon neutral by 2050. Its initiatives include reducing plastic use by 25 tonnes annually, cutting CO₂ emissions through electric forklifts, achieving Zero Waste to Landfill status, and launching eco-friendly innovations like sedum roofing and solar-powered SmartBeam technology. These efforts earned the company the 2023 Environmental Practices Award at the Scotland Excel Awards.
