NBe Brokers has been announced as a finalist for the Start-Up & Step-Up Business Award at the 2026 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, sponsored by Staffordshire County Council.

Founded in March 2023 by two directors who spotted a genuine gap in the market for personal, responsive commercial insurance broking, NBe Brokers has grown at a pace that is difficult to ignore. In three years, the Newcastle-under-Lyme firm has gone from 2 employees to 20, with 5 more planned by the end of 2026. Turnover has grown by a projected 185% from year one, profitability by a projected 2,016%, and the client database has nearly doubled to almost 1,200 accounts. Direct partnerships with Aviva, Allianz and AXA have followed.

Built around a 24/7 client portal and an ethos of responsiveness over transaction, NBe Brokers is the deliberate alternative to the corporate brokerage model its founders left behind, and is on course to reach £2 million in turnover before its fourth birthday.

The winners will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026, followed by The After Party, a late-night celebration for finalists, winners and partners.
