Dukes Bailiffs Limited has been announced as a finalist for the Employer of the Year Award at the 2026 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, sponsored by Consultiv Utilities.
Founded in Stone in 1993, Dukes Bailiffs has grown into one of the top six enforcement firms in England and Wales, holding UK Top 50 Best Workplace status based entirely on independent employee feedback. In a sector not associated with strong workplace culture, 92% of staff say Dukes is a great place to work against a UK average of 54%, attrition sits below 5%, and 97% want to stay long-term.
The management board and senior leadership team are both entirely female. Up to £4,500 per employee is invested annually in training, 13 internal promotions were made last year, and a Shadow Board gives frontline colleagues a direct channel into senior decision-making.
Stuart Elford, Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “Dukes Bailiffs has built a workplace culture that would be remarkable in any sector, and in enforcement it is extraordinary. Ninety-two per cent of staff saying it is a great place to work, attrition below 5%, an entirely female leadership team, and UK Top 50 Best Workplace status based entirely on what their own people say about them. Thirty-three years in the making and still raising the bar. We are delighted to have them as a finalist.”
The winners will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026, followed by The After Party, a late-night celebration for finalists, winners and partners.
