The Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub work in partnership with the Staffordshire Business Helpline to provide free business support and advice. Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce’s Let’s Do Mentoring Programme provides local businesses with fully funded mentoring from experienced business professionals to help businesses to grow and succeed.

Mentoring provides you with non-judgemental support, from experience business professionals, based on your situation.

Our volunteer mentors sign up to the programme because they wish to share their extensive skills and knowledge, giving something back to the people and the area in which they live.

Our national award winning, fully funded, business start-up programme provides aspiring entrepreneurs the platform to succeed through training, support and advice. Our programme offers a series of workshops, covering the fundamentals of business including business planning, cash flow forecasting and marketing.

The Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Skills Hub aims to make education and training provision in Staffordshire more responsive to the needs of the economy, so that employers’ skills needs are more quickly and more effectively met, and individuals receive better designed skills provision which equips them for the world of work using Training Offer Grants.

    Eligible Employers – All business that are categorised as an SME. We can support B2B and B2C, with no restrictions on industry. Must be located within Staffordshire
    Training identified – signpost to appropriate courses and funding that is available
    Grant Funding – Training identified and there is no funding available, and not a statutory requirement, then a grant may be offered of 48% (max. £5,000). This covers bespoke training, software, CRM training and upskilling staff in skills unique to your business
    Training Organisations – This is a continuous open procurement, so any organisation offering training can be listed on our website, once they have gone through a due diligence

A Start Up Loan is a government-backed personal loan available to individuals looking to start or grow a business in the UK.

In addition to finance, successful applicants receive 12-months of free mentoring and exclusive business offers to help them succeed.

The loan is unsecured, so there’s no need to put forward any assets or guarantors to support an application.

All owners or partners in a business can individually apply for up to £25,000 each, with a maximum of £100,000 available per business.
