Staffordshire Chambers’ charity members have received a £9,500 boost thanks to fundraising efforts by the local business community.
The funds, which will be distributed equally between each charity member, were raised through various Chamber initiatives including the annual Charity Football Tournament and Charity Quiz.
The Chamber has also confirmed plans to launch a new Charity Support Network, bringing together charity members to share ideas and collaborate on ways to strengthen support for local communities.
Stuart Elford, Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “On behalf of everyone at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, I would like to sincerely thank our Charity members for the outstanding difference they make in our local communities.
“Over the past few years, we have been proud to grow our fundraising activity through events such as our Charity Quiz and Charity Football Tournament. These events bring together our members, partners and the wider business community with a shared purpose: to support charities creating real, lasting change across Staffordshire.
“We are continually inspired by the brilliant impact that our charity members have. Thank you again for everything you achieve for people and communities across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.”
The fundraising activity forms part of Staffordshire Chambers’ ongoing commitment to supporting its charity members and recognising the vital role they play across the county.
