The International Trade team at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has received an exemplary rating in a recent HMRC audit conducted by Chamber Customs.
The report described the team’s impressive performance, highlighting how their work helps businesses follow HMRC rules and guidance with confidence.
The trade team ensures all required information is accurate and available when declarations are submitted, working closely with customers to provide guidance throughout the customs process. This approach supports businesses trading internationally and helps reduce administrative delays.
The positive audit result comes alongside further good news for the team. International Trade Officer Nicola Lyons has passed her Customs Declaration Service exam, while Nicola and Export Documentation Officer Sylwia Malkowska have both achieved the Foundation Award in International Trade.
“All of our staff work to help local businesses manage customs efficiently,” said Allison Tomlinson, Head of International Trade.
“It’s rewarding to have the audit recognise the work our team does and the processes we have in place. Nicola and Sylwia’s achievements are a reflection of the team’s commitment to developing their knowledge and expertise, which ultimately benefits the businesses we support.”
