Stuart Elford has begun his role as Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce this week, pledging to champion the voices of local businesses “every single day”.
Stuart joins the organisation with strong ambition for the region’s business community, and brings extensive Chamber leadership experience and a strong record in organisational growth.
Stuart said: “The warmth of the welcome I have received from the team, the Board and the wider membership has been outstanding.
“At the heart of everything I do is a belief in the power of businesses working together, and this role gives me the opportunity to champion that every day.”
“This is a county with real energy, real talent and real potential, and I intend to throw myself into understanding it, championing it and helping to shape its future.
“To our members and partners: my door is open.
“At a time when businesses are navigating both real pressures and genuine opportunity, the Chamber’s role in championing your voice and supporting your growth has never been more important. I want to hear from you, understand your challenges and work alongside you to deliver real impact.”
Reflecting on his previous role, he added: “I come to this role having spent nearly seven years leading Devon Chamber of Commerce through a period of growth and change. I bring that experience with me and intend to put it to work for businesses across Staffordshire.”
“To our members and partners: my door is open. I want to hear from you, understand your challenges and work alongside you to deliver impact.”
He also thanked the interim leadership team.
“Chris Plant and Tom Nadin have provided outstanding leadership during this period. Their commitment has been invaluable.”
