Xpert Recruitment Solutions have been announced as a finalist for the Small Business of the Year Award at the 2026 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, sponsored by NSCG Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group.

Founded by Lindsay Mitchell, Xpert Recruitment Solutions has grown steadily over nine years from its Fenton base, with turnover rising from £1.3m to £1.75m in the financial year ending February 2026. The seven-strong team operates across commercial and industrial recruitment, with a logistics and driving division added and a care division planned for later in 2026.

The business is built on long-term partnerships rather than transactional placements, reflected in a 10-year relationship with Advantis Credit, for whom Xpert recently managed a 50-person recruitment campaign end to end. Payroll is handled entirely in-house, giving clients and candidates a single, accountable point of contact. Lindsay herself is currently completing a Level 7 Senior People Manager apprenticeship, mirroring an investment in development that runs through the whole team.

The winners will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026, followed by The After Party, a late-night celebration for finalists, winners and partners.
