Responsible Business Forum

The Responsible Business Forum, comprising both private sector businesses and non-profit organisations, is dedicated to promoting and advancing responsible business practices across Staffordshire. Our mission is to encourage collaboration and dialogue among diverse stakeholders to drive positive social, environmental, and economic impacts.

Our key focus for 24/25:

1. Advocate for the integration of responsible business practices into the core operations of member organisations, emphasising principles of sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility.
2. Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice exchange among private sector businesses and non-profit organisations, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement in responsible business initiatives.
3. Review and promote recognised and consistent measures of social value that are accessible and affordable for businesses and non-profit organisations, enabling them to quantify and communicate their social impact effectively.
4. Provide a platform for networking and partnership building, enabling cross-sector collaboration to address shared challenges and opportunities related to responsible business. We encourage local thinking and connection with local communities to ensure the building of capacity locally.
5. Serve as a resource hub for information, tools, and resources that support the implementation of responsible business practices.

This meeting will be taking place at Commerce House, Festival Park, 09:00-11:00am. Due to space we are only able to accommodate 14 people in person, however, this will be a hybrid meeting so there is the option to join online. Anybody wishing to attend in person please contact sarah.colclough@staffordshirechambers.co.uk as places will be given on a first come, first served basis.

The full agenda will follow within the next week, but a key focus for this meeting will be the launch of the Chambers new Responsible Business Accelerator Platform. The Responsible Business Accelerator (RBA) is an important initiative aimed at supporting Staffordshire SMEs and non-profit organisations in developing and measuring the impact of responsible and sustainable business practices. By offering clear actionable guidance, the RBA empowers businesses to make positive contributions to society, the environment, and the economy.
