Altecnic has been announced as a finalist for the Sustainability & Environment Award at the 2026 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, sponsored by Capula.

Established near Stafford in 1987, Altecnic is the UK’s leading supplier and manufacturer of hydronic solutions for the plumbing and heating industry. Despite market contraction in 2025, the business grew turnover by more than 10%, supported by over £18 million invested in its new Stafford headquarters, Francesco House, which holds a BREEAM A-rating and is powered by a 94 kWp solar array delivering a 91% year-on-year increase in self-produced energy.

The operation sends zero waste to landfill, uses recycled or recyclable materials in over 70% of packaging, and is driven by an employee-led Green Team with seven Carbon Literate staff. Community commitments include over £100,000 donated to Dougie Mac and a Christmas initiative feeding more than 150 local families annually.

The winners will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026, followed by The After Party, a late-night celebration for finalists, winners and partners.
