Drayton Beaumont Group has been announced as a finalist for the Medium/Large Business of the Year Award at the 2026 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, sponsored by Dains Accountants.

The acquisitions of Therser UK in 2023 and the JPR Group in 2024 brought mechanical and electrical engineering, fire and security, facilities management, and specialist thermal process engineering together under one North Staffordshire roof. The result: 2025 turnover nearly double that of the previous year. Projects span the new Stoke City FC training ground, Envision Giga 1 in Sunderland, and the historically significant Flaxmill Maltings in Shrewsbury. A West Midlands office opened last year, with a North West base to follow.

The Drayton Beaumont Academy, launched with Newcastle and Stafford College Group in March 2026, signals a long-term commitment to developing the engineering workforce across Staffordshire and beyond.

The winners will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026, followed by The After Party, a late-night celebration for finalists, winners and partners.
