EffecTech has been announced as a finalist for the International Trade Award at the 2026 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, sponsored by Welfare Vans4less.
Nearly three decades in, EffecTech is still doing something most businesses its size never manage: running a global operation from a Staffordshire base. The company provides specialist gas measurement products and services to LNG terminals, offshore platforms, biomethane producers and power stations in more than 60 countries, with overseas sales accounting for almost 40% of annual revenue.
Since joining The Linde Group in 2022, EffecTech has expanded its international reach while retaining its identity as a specialist independent business unit, developing advanced calibration services for LNG and carbon capture technologies alongside proprietary hydrogen sampling technology. An ISO-accredited laboratory underpins everything, giving customers around the world confidence in a business that has built a global reputation without ever leaving Staffordshire.
Stuart Elford, Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “EffecTech is a quiet giant of Staffordshire’s business community. Almost 30 years of specialist expertise, customers in more than 60 countries, and technology that is shaping how the world measures and manages gas at a time when that matters enormously. The fact that they have built all of this from a Staffordshire base is a source of real pride for the region. A thoroughly deserving finalist.”
The winners will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026, followed by The After Party, a late-night celebration for finalists, winners and partners.
