Trentham Foods has been announced as a finalist for the International Trade Award at the 2026 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards, sponsored by Welfare Vans4less.
Founded in Staffordshire in 2006 as a one-man operation, Trentham Foods has grown into a major international meat and poultry supply chain specialist serving the UK foodservice, wholesale, manufacturing and retail sectors. Operating with a 12-strong team, the business sources products from more than 20 countries worldwide, combining global partnerships with BRC AA grade quality standards and in-house customs expertise.
The company has achieved sustained year-on-year growth for two decades, with turnover rising by more than 35% between 2024 and 2025. Recent expansion into markets including Australia and New Zealand, alongside investment in local recruitment, larger premises and export development, has strengthened Trentham Foods’ position as a resilient and increasingly influential player in international trade.
Stuart Elford, Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “Trentham Foods is a remarkable business. Built from nothing in Staffordshire nearly two decades ago, it now sources from more than 20 countries and has grown turnover by more than 35% in a single year. The fact that it does all of this with a team of 12, with in-house customs expertise and BRC AA grade standards, speaks to a business that has built something genuinely world-class right here in the region. We are delighted to have them as a finalist.”
The winners will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026, followed by The After Party, a late-night celebration for finalists, winners and partners.
