We therefore think that the best way for your members to get the healthcare cover that’s right for their businesses is to give them the chance to build it themselves. That’s why we’re offering a choice of private medical insurance options and benefits that they can select from, so they only pay for the cover they need.

Unlimited access to Doctor@Hand, our on line GP service, available by video or over the phone 24/7 (subject to availability), delivered by Doctor Care Anywhere. Fair usage policy applies.
• Working Body
Access to our Working Body phone service with physiotherapists offering guidance and support with issues such as back pain – available to members aged 18 and over.
• Heart and cancer nurses
Heart and cancer nurses, available by phone, who are dedicated to supporting members and their families.
• 24/7 health information telephone helpline
Our helpline is open 24/7 for health information and support from nurses and counsellors. Pharmacists and midwives are available from 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm Saturdays and 8am – 12pm Sundays.
• Proactive Health Gateway
With Proactive Health Gateway, your members’ teams will benefit from wellbeing support tailored to their individual health goals. They can use the AXA Health Age Calculator to find out their ‘Health Age’ and follow in-depth guidance and make suggested changes to get healthier.

Members can choose from the below cover options to create a package that works best for their business and their budget. If they need any help, or would like any of the options explained in more detail, they can call our team on 0800 387 754.
• Treatment option
Cover for hospital procedures and operations, including surgery, plus radiotherapy and chemotherapy for cancer when you have Comprehensive Cancer Cover. There’s no need to wait for NHS treatment, which could make all the difference for getting your members and their teams’ well again – and back to work.
• Diagnostics option
Waiting for a health condition to be diagnosed can be an extremely worrying time, especially if you’re on a long waiting list to see a specialist. This option fast-tracks the process of finding out what’s wrong if one of your members becomes unwell.
• Outpatient option
Cover if one of your members needs to see a specialist about a health concern. When they use our Fast Track Appointment service, appointments will be arranged quickly, close to work or home. Choose from Standard, Enhanced or Full outpatient cover, depending on the level of benefits they want to offer their team.
• Therapies option
Problems with muscles, bones and joints can often be tackled with some simple selfmanagement advice and may not even need treatment. If they are referred for treatment, the Therapies option pays for treatment by an osteopath, physiotherapist, acupuncturist, homeopath or chiropractor to help put a stop to niggling aches and pains.
• Mental Health option
This option includes psychiatric treatment by psychologists and cognitive behavioural therapists when referred by a specialist. Your members won’t even need to see a GP to access help and support. They can simply call our Stronger Minds team to arrange an assessment with a counsellor or psychologist.
• Extended Cover option
This option gives even greater flexibility and choice over where employees are treated. Plus, extra cover for planned, pre-approved treatment abroad and cover for the routine management of chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes and epilepsy.
• Private GP option
With our Private GP option, it’s easy for your members and their employees to see a private GP in person, promptly, at a time that’s convenient for them – and their business.
• Employee Assistance Programme
When employees are going through difficult times, such as divorce or money problems, they may find it hard to concentrate on work. This option gives them a professionally trained expert to talk to, whenever they need a listening ear.
• Travel option
If employees travel for business or pleasure, this option will cover them for emergency medical treatment should the worst happen when they’re abroad. It also includes a range of travel-related benefits.
• Dentist and Optician Cash back option
This option helps employees look after their teeth and eyesight with cash back towards dentists’ fees, glasses, contact lenses and eye tests.
