Chambers' Council
The Chambers’ Council develops and ratifies the Chambers’ policy and lobbying
role, to help the Board and the Chambers’ executives to be in touch with business
issues and the membership. It is used a sounding board for policy matters and
to receive reports of the Forums to ensure that they too are representing the
business community.
The Council is made up of 36 elected members plus Forum Chairs, Local Area
Advisory Board Presidents, Finest and Future Finest Chairs and Honorary Members.
The Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Board is made up of 13 elected
representatives of the Council and Local Area Advisory Boards who have served
on Council for over 1 year. The Council elect, from their membership, the Board which includes the Presidents
of the two Local Area Advisory Boards. The role of the Board is to ensure that the
Chambers is a well run business.
